The Las Plumas Thunderbirds hit the road Friday night and came away with an impressive 34-17 victory over the Anderson Cubs.

Las Plumas jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, controlling the game on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Branden Robinson had a strong performance leading the Thunderbird offense, while Kaden Parris contributed several key catches and runs to help keep the offense moving.

The Las Plumas defense also came up with several big plays throughout the night. One of the biggest moments came when Zach Ruff delivered a hard hit that knocked the ball loose. Nate Colombo was in the right place at the right time, scooping up the fumble and returning it for a Thunderbird touchdown.

The combination of explosive offensive plays and timely defensive stops helped Las Plumas pull away for the 34-17 road victory.

With the win, the Thunderbirds improve to 1-1 on the season. Las Plumas will have a bye week next week before returning to action on the road against the West Valley Eagles.
