Thunderbirds Battle Shasta in Exciting Back-and-Forth Game

The Las Plumas Thunderbirds battled the Shasta Wolves in an exciting, back-and-forth football game Friday night before Shasta pulled away late for a 35–21 victory.

Las Plumas stayed within striking distance throughout the game, trailing 21–14 at halftime. The Thunderbirds continued to battle in the second half and remained just one score away from tying the game, but they had trouble slowing down the Shasta offense. The Wolves eventually created some separation late in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

Despite the loss, the Thunderbirds showed plenty of fight in what was an exciting and competitive game from start to finish. Las Plumas never backed down and continued to battle until the final whistle.

The Thunderbirds, now 2–2 on the season, will return home next Friday for Homecoming when they host the Yreka Miners at 7:00 p.m. The game will be Las Plumas’ final preseason contest before the Thunderbirds turn their attention to league play.

Come out and support the Thunderbirds as they celebrate Homecoming and close out the preseason under the Friday night lights!
