The Las Plumas Thunderbirds battled hard at home but fell to the Core Butte Lynx in three closely contested sets.

Las Plumas kept each set within reach, competing throughout the match and showing strong defensive and offensive effort. Caysley Hepworth and Isabella Lopez led the Thunderbirds with five kills apiece. Hepworth also recorded five blocks, while Lopez added four aces. Sarah Floyd helped lead the offense with 13 assists.

The Thunderbirds will now turn their attention to league play, opening Westside League action Tuesday at Live Oak.
