The Las Plumas Thunderbirds are headed to the Northern Section championship game after defeating Pleasant Valley in a strong playoff performance Thursday. LP will now host Chico for the section title Saturday at 11:00am.

Rylie McInturf helped power the Thunderbirds offense with two RBIs, while Jayse Long added a hit and created havoc on the bases with two stolen bases.

In the circle, Kyler Story delivered a dominant outing for Las Plumas. Story earned the win while striking out nine batters and keeping Pleasant Valley off balance throughout the game.

Las Plumas continued its impressive postseason run with timely hitting, aggressive base running, and strong pitching to secure its spot in the championship matchup against Chico.

The Thunderbirds will now look to carry their momentum into the title game as they compete for the Northern Section championship.
