The LP Softball Thunderbirds powered their way to an impressive 11-2 playoff victory over Foothill behind explosive hitting and a dominant performance in the circle from Kyler Storey.

Marli Benedict led the Thunderbirds at the plate with three hits, including a home run, while Benedict and Brooklyn Atteberry thrilled the crowd with back-to-back home runs to help put the game away.

Storey was outstanding from start to finish, pitching a complete-game victory while striking out six batters and keeping Foothill’s offense under control throughout the game.

With the win, the Thunderbirds advance to face Pleasant Valley in the next round of the playoffs.
